This is, without a doubt, one of the best platformers ever made. Amazing level design, music, graphics, and story. The story very much hit me at the perfect time in my life too, and it helped me learn more about myself and become a better person. Also, I love that the game takes a positive approach to the hard level design, encouraging you to press on instead of mocking you for failing, like so many other hard platformers do.
Plus this game lends itself really well to lots of different play styles. For the casual player and the speedrunner, and it has some great accessibility options too. In my opinion, this is one of the best games ever made, and it's worth every cent and then some.
