Genuinely fantastic. This was the sole reason why I wanted to get a PlayStation console. Prior to this, I had only had Xbox and Nintendo consoles. I just didn't feel the need to have the trifecta. After 100%ing this game though, I am more than happy that I made the decision to get a PS5.

I love nearly every aspect of this game. It is such a well-crafted experience that I can confidently recommend it to anyone who has played a video game from the past ten years. It's really hard for me to name everything I love, so I'll just name some of my most favored parts.

Otto Octavius. Literally everything about him. The moment he's on screen, I'm completely enthralled. He encompasses Peter's struggle to manage his two lives perfectly. He is the embodiment of everything relating to Peter's story.

The graphics are also incredible, but it's hard to explain how good the graphics are in a video game. All you have to say is, "Hey, that looks like real life" and it gets the point across.

The acting as a whole is also top-notch. Everyone is clearly giving it their all. Otto, Martin Li, May, and especially Peter are given so much soul, and I feel truly completes the game. If the game just had tolerable voice acting, a lot of the game would kind of fall apart. You can't have Otto Octavius without a good voice actor.

The gameplay is really satisfying all around. The swinging pretty much gives you no reason to use the fast travel unless you're 3,000m away. The fighting is really fun, and I didn't realize it until my New Game+ playthrough, but the gadgets are actually really fun to use. For some reason, I only used the web shooters and no other gadgets on my first playthrough.

I only have a few complaints, but they're pretty minute. The DLC's just fine. It's not terrible, but it wasn't worth me replaying on my New Game+ playthrough. I would say that is where most of my problems lie in this game. The Screwball thing had one gadget challenge that almost made me lose my fucking mind. Same thing with the "Perform a 95-Hit Combo" challenge at the Hammerhead base. Sincerely, fuck those enemies that drag me down while I'm at an 87-hit combo. Those guys and the Sable fuckers with the jetpacks. When you have 8 of those fuckers flying at you, that shit blows dick. The difficulty is also a little too easy, regarding the base game. Doc Ock didn't stand a fucking chance, even on Ultimate difficulty. I couldn't care less about the earlier MJ missions. After a bit, the devs realized, "Oh, yeah! Maybe our player should want to play our game!" I also wish there was more of the Sinister Six, but they'll definitely return in future games, so I'm not too worried.

I have never played a game like this before. I've only recently been playing games with grander scopes than a jolly plumber and online multiplayer games can provide, and I couldn't be happier that this was one of the first that I marked off my list. This game is truly something special, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of this series holds.
