Funny how the game with "3D" in the title is the least 3D of them all

I honestly think they should've upgraded each of the games to the Mario World engine. It would've worked perfectly and made this collection the definitive way to play these otherwise outdated games. As it stands, I just don't get why this package exists.

I know people hate the car, and for good reason, but I honestly admire 9 for giving the series a much needed rethink after the series had gone stale... even if it was ultimately a misguided experiment.

Nintendo's at the top of their game in terms of level design and mechanics, but I hold a resentment for this game because of how safe it played things. This is one of the best games I've ever played, but at the same time, I just know that it could've SO EASILY been significantly better if Nintendo just put some more passion into it. The same passion that they put into the first game. But as it stands, this game is simultaneously flawless and soulless.

This has less consistent motion controls and physics than Wii Sports baseball, which released two years earlier

Inside drifting bikes just feel so good to control. There's a reason this game has such an active community even today
