Super simple, fun theming, will never play again. I don't understand why game devs love gimmicks like the jetpack then create whole sections where you can't use it
Hey I have an idea, let's make a DLC on the most boring planet with the most repetitive missions, oh that's a great idea oh how about we put in the most annoying character in the whole series, oh that's fantastic.
Oh and how about we make it so that every time you touch the ground 4 or 5 enemies come up and it's really hard because we'll make the enemies really bullet spongy, yeah so we'll make you rely on this shitty jetpack for most of the DLC.
Awful.

The setting is certainly a fun and interesting one but I don't ever think VotY ever capitalizes on its possible atmopshere, one that could've been cold, unforgiving, and almost mystical, but just ends up feeling like any other throwaway Far Cry adventure with snow and the occasional storm, backed up by a surprisingly weak map, something that the series usually keeps a high point. The tower defense stuff is just hilariously unnecessary and weak, and it's drawn forth by a story that not only wastes one of the coolest aspects of the base game but has a unexpectedly bizarre ending that's as unearned as it is out of left field.
You would think a DLC about the abominable snowman would be memorable or at least fun, but it isn't. Does anybody actually enjoy base defense minigames?
