These are the definitive releases of the classic Sonic games. Sega finally releasing the Whitehead version of 1 and 2 on consoles (plus CD on current/last gen as opposed to stuck on 360/PS3), plus having part of the Mania team remaster 3K was great. There are a lot of glaring issues with each game that should not exist, especially with the games that were remastered a decade ago. But having all the classic games available in 16:9 HD/4K with a ton of enhancements, such as cutscenes that show the full story and bridge the games together make this the definitive version to play.
The missions included are a nice bonus. Some of the later ones can really test even hardcore Sonic fans.
Game Gear games are a nice addition, but the emulation for sound is bad. Fun to play for a minute, then probably not again. It would’ve been cool if Plus included a remastered (or hell, even just an emulated) version of Knuckles Chaotix, as I don’t believe it’s ever been rereleased.

My favourite Kirby game. Takes everything from the first game and makes it better. This is the best version of the original Kirby’s Adventure. There’s no lag when playing and the button layout is a lot better. I just wish this was the 3DS’ full resolution instead of a smaller 4:3 screen, since they made a bunch of other improvements.

The Pixel Remaster brings alot of improvements, both OoL and in presentation.
Compared to past releases, this is the most accessible way to play the first game.
The difficulty was steady throughout, but the final boss hit me so hard. I had to grind alot outside the final room and teleport out and restock on items to beat it. Luckily grinding isn't too tedious thanks to both exp and Gil multipliers, as well as the ability to repeat moves from the previous turn.
Overall, a great way to play FF1.

This is definitely the first game in the series. While the version included in Sonic Origins Plus has many enhancements, like the spin dash, drop dash, 16:9 support, it still isn’t as good as Sonic 2 or 3K. The name of the game is speed, but many of the zones aren’t built around it. Hell, as soon as you’re out of Green Hill you’re in Marble Garden, my least favourite and slowest level. It’s still a good game and still holds up, but the others are so much better.
