Mass Effect (★★★★★) - Great story, world building, characters, dialogue, and lots of choices with actual consequences. The gameplay is fun even if its kinda clunky.
Mass Effect 2 (★★★★★) - Simpler but still good story with more great world building, characters (the squadmates are the best in the trilogy), dialogue, and choices with actual consequences. Gameplay is improved too and side content is the best in the trilogy.
Mass Effect 3 (★★★) - Boring and dissapointing story (especially the endings) with barely any choices that actually matter. Gameplay feels good but the combat encounters are boring and badly designed most of the time. Great DLC tho.
My ranking is: ME2 > ME1 > ME3
