This games graphics blew me away!
I love the whole setting, story and characters.

Missions got better and better the more I played. I enjoyed the shooting after getting used to it, it defo felt floaty.

Things I didnt like was the amount of driving, this would be fine if the driving wasnt god awful (Bearing in mind its better than the og driving)
and the melee combat is awful, pair this with the need to collect health pickups instead of health regenerating and you have got a really crap system.

and lastly the FPS, Im playing this on a Series X and im getting 30fps, my mate on ps5 said the same thing, such a shame as its such a nice game to look at!

THANK GOD THEY MADE THE RACE MISSION BETTER THAN THE OG

This is specifically about the "remaster"
Shocking quality, crash after crash and bad textures constantly, Loads after a death are quick but that cannot be said for loading basic floor textures, took a solid 5 minutes to load in the texture for the church exterior after the first predator room sequence.

I one hundred percented this game, yes this includes the challenges, but I found myself coming across riddler trophies that were straight invisible, broken, or just not accessible until I hard restarted the console SERIES X BTW or just randomly use the scan at the right angle.

Ok Rant over.

The story is still great, combat is fluid, albeit it can be a bit overwhelming with the removal of some gadgets from the previous title, so I kept getting confused.

I love the side quests in this, ok maybe not the Dead-Shot "Fight" if it can be considered that one.

But the rest of them seemed good!
Voice actors are stellar as per usual so props there.

DLC was ehh hit or miss, found some of the gadgets for Robin to be crap, and the fighting stages were all meh. Nightwing is cool though.

Shame I cannot give this a higher rating as the OG is incredible.

Origins next ;)

Hats of to Nightdive for bringing back an absolute classic!
Playing this brought an immesnse wave of nostalgia as I played this as a kid.

Good things first, FPS is great, had no stutters, gameplay as per usual with games like this is fluid! Story easy to understand, remastered cutscenes look great! and hello STAR WARS!
This also being the first instance of the Dark Trooper / Shock Trooper is awesome as well, especially the different MKs.

The Difficulty of this game towards the end is in my opinion a big difficulty difference, one minute I was mowing through enemies, next minute I was getting destroyed.

Some bad things, the puzzles have aged terribly! I found myself getting stuck at nearly everyone minus the last puzzle.
Level 14 is a bitch btw ;) Especially on Medium and Hard <3 Have fun!

Nightdive please remaster the sequels and Turok Evolution Thank you <3 ;)

Good presentation and the actual deck-building combat aspect is fun, but the runs are just way too fucking long. Rogue-lites are designed to be addictive and push the idea of "one more run" due to their design, but this game goes against that completely. Kudos for trying something new, I suppose, but it is just exhausting to actually play.

Just got a PS5 and you know this had to be the game I finished it on it first. Now, while I did enjoy the game, I do think it's worse than the 2018 entry (which I consider my GOTY from that year).

I still don't like the redesigns of Pete and MJ, especially Peter because his face is no longer as emotive and natural-looking as it was. It's just a terrible redesign all around and completely unnecessary.

I also think the first half of the game is very weak story-wise. Kraven is not set up as well as Martin Li and even the Sinister 6 were in the first game, and the fact that he kills a few of the old baddies off-screen just feels flat-out wrong. His motivations are so flimsy and trite compared to the villains we fought in the first game and Miles Morales that he just feels hollow and unsympathetic. They should have honestly taken him out of the story sooner.
Once the actual plot of the game does get rolling, it is great though, and the back half is full of emotional moments and excellent set pieces and voice acting, but I cannot overlook the beginning half just feeling lacklustre.

Also, the writing for the Spidey quips is not up to par at all. I genuinely chuckled many times and had an absolute blast playing Peter and Miles in the previous entries of the franchise, and hearing them wisecrack was one of the highlights of that. This time around, a lot of the humour feels forced and the quips annoying instead of endearing. Maybe that's just me, but it really didn't feel as good.

Combat-wise and traversal-wise, though, the game is still a joy to play through. I love the smoothness of the combat, the variety of tools you have at your disposal at all times, and, of course, swinging around New York will never not be one of the most fun gaming experiences ever.

Overall, I had a good time with the game, but the beginning was very shaky for me and I didn't have the confidence that they could bring it back up to the level of the first game. If they hadn't fumbled the ball with the setup, I think this easily could've been another GOTY for me, but as it stands, it will settle into just a great game instead.

Giving this a 3 for all of the times the game made me get 3 of an item/kill 3 enemies in order to progress the story.

Actually had a lot more fun with this game than I was expecting to.
For one, it looks absolutely gorgeous, and it uses the familiar Ubisoft gameplay hook of throwing you into a big city with a bunch of icons to collect - which my ADHD/Gaming OCD brain eats up. I played the whole game solo and completed most of the content. The only thing left to do would be to replay missions and run around the Dark Zone to get better gear, but I don't see the purpose of doing that at all as I've completed the game's storyline.
The game is not perfect by any means though. It does suffer from bullet-sponge boss design and repetition, especially in mission variety, but I actually never really had too much of an issue with anything. I had zero expectations of what this game even was to be honest. I thought it was just a multiplayer shooter for the longest time, but a buddy told me it had a story mode I could solo. That was literally the only reason I tried it out. I hadn't even seen what the gameplay looked like before trying it! It was kinda fun to just turn off my brain, throw on podcasts and just run around the post-apocalyptic New York City. Sure, there are quality-of-life improvements that could have been made such as vehicle navigation, or the ability to spawn outside safehouses if you get murked randomly, but overall I had a good time with this experience.

One of the most mid-games ever. I literally played it just to play it, and while I'm glad I went back to it to experience it, I did not really enjoy my time with it overall.

A fun mix of AC: Odyssey and Breath of the Wild.
I liked the more comedic storyline and dialogue, and the art style looks great. The open-world collect-a-thon aspect can be very tiring, but once you max out your stats and get your trophies, you can basically ignore what you no longer need to collect - which is what I did. The main meat of the gameplay is the exploration and puzzle-solving, as combat is trivial after a certain point, and I think the game definitely nails those aspects. There is only one area of the game that is super frustrating and that is the northern most landmass - King's Peak. It is just a super unfun bummer area after the cool locations we explore throughout the rest of the game.
Overall though, I had a good time with this game.

Short, sweet and fun all around. The controls are fun and allow a lot of freedom, the challenges aren't too hard, and the semi-open world isn't exhausting to explore or complete. The only downside is that the story feels incomplete and rushed, and has too many questions and mysteries left completely unanswered and untouched. I'm hoping the sequel dives into some of this, coz I will definitely be checking that out.

For a game with this chilled of a vibe, I was getting thoroughly frustrated actually playing it.

A pretty fun throwback to Max Payne, with some great voice acting and an intriguing story. Unfortunately, the enemy variety is really lacking and the game needed to be about half as long as it is because it is just a slog to get through after like 20 levels.

Actually had a ton of fun with this game, but I did lose my save progress due to a bug, which really sucked. I played completely solo and managed to make it up to level 30 and was having an absolute blast before it happened, so it was certainly a blow.
Will probably return to this once it's completed so I can do a proper run.

A beautiful little throwback JRPG that maintains the spirit of the games that inspired it. It can be very challenging and unforgiving if you aren't paying attention to your party's abilities and composition, but the difficulty never really reaches an unfair level.
I didn't do all the side content and grinding necessary for the platinum, just because the game is leaving PS+ in a few days and I don't really want to be grinding until it leaves, but I do feel like I've seen what the game had to offer me and I was content with it. It was a pleasant experience, and the story was surprisingly touching, especially the ending.

I actually enjoyed this game way more than I thought I would. I'm not a Harry Potter fan in the slightest - I read the books when I was in school but never enjoyed the films. I only tried the game because my cousin and a few friends played through it and told me they enjoyed it, so I thought I would give it an honest shot and see how far I got with it.
Imagine my surprise then when I was utterly swept up in this game. It just ticked all the right boxes for me - a massive, gorgeous open world with tons of puzzles and exploration and side activities to get lost in (even if the grind to get all the activities and collectables is slightly monotonous).

The magic system is great in that it not only facilitates your combat prowess but also ties into solving puzzles in the world. The talents you acquire also augment your spells in actually meaningful ways and make them more useful. The only bad part of the combat itself is that it does get repetitive as you are doing the same basic thing for like 60 hours, and the gear system seems to have been just an afterthought, to be honest. Luckily you can just glamour whatever you're wearing so that you're always fashionable, and like halfway through the game I had some gold pieces that I just upgraded and never traded out because the increases on everything else were negligible.

The story is probably the weakest part of the whole experience. It's a little bit too cliched and has pacing issues as you have to wait for characters between every step of their questlines. I also wish there were more choices in what type of character you wanted to play morality-wise or more options that encapsulate what house you are in, but, all said, it is entertaining enough throughout to keep you going, and it does have some genuinely great moments and set pieces sprinkled throughout.
I enjoyed a lot of the side missions as well, as they fleshed out some of the supporting cast and the actual world that the game is set in. The best part of the Harry Potter books has always been the world itself, so it was fun to explore more of the lore and setting.

There is just so much here that kept me busy for absolute hours, from combing every inch of Hogwarts for collectables, to flying around the open world, to tinkering with my Room of Requirement to get it just right to suit my aesthetics, to breeding magical creatures and all the rest of it. It truly was a magical experience, and with a better, more impactful story, this easily could have been one of my favourite games from last year.
