Great game, totally worth it. As someone who played a little of the original, you can feel the love and effort put into creating a significantly better experience. It's been a while since I played something at this level. The story, although it not hook me completely, I find it attractive and intriguing. I can say without a doubt that it is the best survival horror I've had the pleasure of playing.
The last good NFS game. A very arcade game and repetitive, but I think that’s what I love about this game, just chilling and enjoying some racing and pursuits. Also, it has excellent graphics, fine customization, and a good car variety. The storyline about F8 and Zephyr it's promising and the ending is impressive, but hey, nobody gives a shit about this as it's very forgettable. The only bad thing though was some considerable freezing while I was playing the game, it didn't bother me that much because most of the time it wasn't happening with too much frequency but sucks and I believe it occurs in every platform.
To start, this game feels rushed. That’s one of the reasons why Restored Content mod exists and it’s used a lot, and If you want to play the game for the first time I think it’s the way to go, play with tons of mods not only because to add cut content but to fix most of the bugs and problems the vanilla game has.
The story of Kotor 2 starts well in my opinion, Peragus might be a pain in the ass as an opening scenario, but I’ve to admit that once you arrive there in the Ebon Hawk you got a lot of unanswered questions, so for me at least the begging was very interesting for how intriguing everything was going.
Later on, the game feels obtuse in a lot of ways. I think that the plot of Kotor 2 as a concept is much more interesting than the classical story planted in Kotor 1, but at the same time this game doesn’t know how to build a Star Wars story without falling into vague and odds metaphors about the philosophy of the force and all that surrounds it, also the story isn't quite fully fleshed and you have to pay attention to everything in the dialogues as a little miss of information leads to misunderstanding the whole plot.
It’s not the worst Star Wars game but is not the superb game some fanatics pray for. Kotor 1 is just a more complete game with a better story, characters, missions, and planets. Heck, It's better in pretty much everything. I wish Kotor 2 could have had all the time It needed.
