sprawling, ambitious, and often hamfisted. a lot of decent writing that one can never quite become engrossed in because the methods of delivery are so janky. surprisingly ugly game in all but its most heavily arted moments, despite its being advertised (and talked about) as the big graphics showpiece of 2020. would have benefited from an open world 1/5 of the size, and a clearer mechanical focus in any one genre.
