I enjoyed it, but unlike the first six generations, I pretty much put it down after I finished playing it and didn't really come back to it. I'm sure it's at least partially attributable to me getting old, but it just didn't feel like magic anymore. The soundtrack still has some great pieces though!

This was a pretty unique and fun experience in the early DS days. Not something I'd play endlessly, but enjoyable once in a while.

Pretty polished and visually appealing. These kinds of fighting games just aren't for me, though.

I played this after Yoshi's Island DS and enjoyed it almost as much. Some of these levels are really dang hard, mostly in a good way. Fantastic classic Nintendo game.

Eh, it's alright. I'm sure it was much more exciting in its time, which is not when I played it.

A very solid and polished experience for its price. The game is adorable and Go Ichinose's music is great as usual. The gameplay has a lot of depth but sometimes I just wanted to play the solitaire portion.

I played it a few times and have a couple of poorly drawn Pokémon saved as image files to show for it.

My favorite Layton game. The story was beautifully done and I don't remember any of the other aspects of the game detracting from that.

Some additional content and QOL improvements from the first, but I never liked it as much. It felt like there were too many options for rides/shops/scenery/etc. and nothing to do with them because the scenarios didn't unlock serially like the original. Still, a wonderful game and one with tons of replay value.

I remember going back and forth between areas endlessly as a kid, accomplishing nothing. I don't know if I ever finished the game lol. Still fun though!

I borrowed a friend's copy and memory card to play this. I found it a bit frustrating to get through as a kid as some ways to advance the story weren't obvious. But the combat is best in the series. I don't recall caring about the story too much, but I replayed this in 2020 and the game is as good as I remember it.

Solid Pokémon game with some nice new content from Black/White. I wish they had kept the medal collection mechanic in future games.

I'm not much into sports games, but I played this a decent amount in multiplayer growing up. Solid polished experience.

A goofy little demo for the 3DS's new capabilities.

My first Guitar Hero and probably the one that most aligns with my musical tastes. I played this a lot, but mostly the same few songs. I got good enough that I could at least clear pretty much anything on expert.
