Roughly 19 years ago, I owned Shaman King: LotS. However, like with most games of my childhood, I never even came close to finishing it. So when the opportunity arose, I decided to play, and finally beat, this extremely old backlog of a game. And looking back, I think I understand why I never beat it.

While I never encountered any glitches or spelling/grammar issues that I can remember, I did enter a world of extreme mediocrity & lacking presentation.

PROS
---------
+ Colorful Design
+ Some Unique Spirit Artwork
+ Controls Work Fine
+ No Glitches
+ Shaman King was a Cool Premise

CONS
---------
- World Map is Disorganized & Unnecessarily Empty
- Zero Combat Animations
- Horribly Constructed Spirit Fusion Mechanic
- Complete Lack of Instruction/Description on Combat & Capture Mechanics
- No Bestiary to Track Spirits
- Unneeded Trading Mechanic
- Random Battles = Boss Battles in Difficulty
- Strange Item Limits
- The Cat Food Sidequest
- Unsatisfying, Confusing Ending

So what are my final thoughts? The game is bad, but it feels nice to complete something I started all those years ago & left in limbo. Boring combat, a story that feels like way too much, yet way too little at the same time, an unsatisfying end, and just an overall feeling of emptiness and pointlessness.
