I've never liked L4D and have always been an advocate of Killing Floor being basically the better version of L4D. Maybe it's just that me/my friends suck but the outcomes of L4D 1 and 2 campaigns feel much more down to luck than anything else. My only good memories of L4D2 are playing it with bullshit anime/touhou mods with friends while drunk.

as someone who played l4d 1 and 2 to death when they both came out, i can say it has absolutely nothing to do with luck. i always felt l4d was pretty easy tbh. it's only really challenging in versus multiplayer once you've played it enough.

conversely, i can also say that i suck ass at killing floor - so there you go i guess

l4d is a solved game, luck is near irrelevant in campaigns even if it's just 2 players
