Recommendations for C.a.T.

Just a list of fun stuff for the Switch. Let me know if you've already got any or just aren't interested in a particular type of game.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge

A new entry in the TMNT beat em up style. Its fun and has more variety than the old games but obviously less nostalgia. Still pretty great.
Vampire Survivors

I played this on PC. Its basically a time waster. You see how long you can survive collecting money and loot to level up your character and unlock new stuff for your next play through. Its repetitive but I spent way too many hours on this. Single player only.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition
May not be your style but its a Japanese action RPG but not a traditional one... its more action oriented. It will still eat up like 60 hours or something. If it gets to hard there is no shame in dropping the difficulty. I sure did.
Stardew Valley

Played a lot of this one on and off. I'll put it down for awhile and then go back just to check on the farm real quick and then get sucked back in. Its very addictive but definitely just a time waster. Grow stuff, harvest stuff, maintain friendships. Simple but effective. Haven't tried in on Switch but can't imagine it getting messed up.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Not sure if you got Breath of the Wild but this is the sequel to that Zelda game. I recommend BotW first but I haven't played this one. I've heard its more of the same so that sounds good to me.

I don't have this yet because its too close to Christmas but I'll be playing it one way or another in 2024. Its a new 2D side-scrolling Mario game so can't go wrong.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection

All the old-school beat em ups for the arcade, NES, SNES, Genesis and everything else. Its a ton of content and all of it fun co-op or solo.

I haven't tried this one yet but I plan on it pretty soon. Its a long running series and its a traditional JRPG so not for everyone but it looks good and everyone says its fun. Supposedly its a long one... over 100 hours to beat. This series like Final Fantasy doesn't really matter what order you play them.

Portal: Companion Collection

I played the co-op mode of Portal 2 on PC with Derek. It was a ton of fun. Its first person shooter perspective but its more of a puzzle game not actually a shooter. Its a brain bender for sure and you have to communicate well to find the solutions. Makes you feel like a genius when you do.

There's a single player mode that I haven't tried yet but keep meaning to.

Not quite out yet as I'm typing this but its a remake of the SNES game made by the Final Fantasy guys but in the Mario universe. I enjoyed the original and am looking forward to this one.
