As I'm sure many have said before, this is probably one of the best pack-in titles in gaming. The level of reverence for PlayStation's history and the actual fun factor are high enough to be impressive in their own collective right and add up to be a really sweet package.

I found some of the alternate forms to be underwhelming and there could have been more bosses or slightly longer areas; the slight bit of grind for the last few items in the gacha was a little lame but thankfully quite small. This game has plenty for what it is regardless, and it helps that the game looks quite great for the most part. I found it a little toward the end of stylistically weak, but the actual quality of things was high. Some environments like the entire Cooling Springs world were stunning to say the least.

To be honest, I just wish I got more of the references! I guess I'll have to keep going to my backlog and playing through things more over time... this was a welcome stop on that road, though.
