closer to a 7.5 than an 8 if I could give it that. the game gets a lot more points for being awesome as a co-op one, as i'd imagine as a single-player one it's a lot less engaging or fun.

still, the game is lots of fun, especially in co-op, but everything up to the end of reaper's coast was way better than everything after it with very few exceptions. wasn't really a fan of the story or characters but as a sorta sandboxy rpg to play with a friend, it's awesome. lots of fun looting and plenty of different flexible builds to choose from - even with the two party members we had it never felt like we were super under-specced (except for needing more thievery...).

i never felt like my time was being wasted and i was glad to get to finally get into the game after so many tries. i'd not mind replaying this or playing a different entry with a bigger group - the run i did was a lone wolf one.
