This game's fun for almost all of its runtime so far, but I think it's still got a way to go before it's fully tested and balanced, let alone actually finished (it's still seemingly only 2/3 complete as of the time of writing). The difficulty is incredibly inconsistent with some enemies being super damage spongy whereas others die far too quickly. The weapons I had unlocked were all fun and satisfying to use, though the shotgun seemed weirdly weak.

Anyway, the game was almost entirely based on momentum: it starts off quite slow and frankly not too great but picks up more and more until it finally gets to "full fun" in Gluttony, if that makes sense. Once you get into Gluttony, it's off to the races with significantly more fun boss fights and really good-looking and cool environments. If you're just starting this game and feel daunted, know that it really does give you much more of a chance to get into the groove as you go further and further into it. I personally found the game to be a bit of a slog early on, but I'm glad I stuck with it.

Hopefully as it continues to completion it'll keep that momentum up, as that'll bring the game to a point of true and unadulterated greatness by endgame. Ultrakill has tons of potential and I'd be glad to come back to it once it's finished up.
