the very existence of this game immediately ruins the thematically sound ending of the first game. this is basically just more of the same but with actually enjoyable characters, but even then it's nothing special. i only rate 1 higher than 2 because it handles its premise and theming a lot better, and i think this game as a matter of principle is shitty because it meant danganronpa became a crappy series instead of staying a mediocre one-off
