The definitive version of the first Persona game, great original music, sound effects, lighting effects and ui which was gutted in PSP for no good reason.

It's alot slower than the psp version though - did this impact your experience much?

Definitely agreed. I really hope this sees a proper localization someday.

@cloudkastel the same team who worked on translating the PS1 port of SMT1 is currently doing a project for this game too so def be on the lookout for that

@lordDarias - I say that the PSP soundtrack is nice for listening to on your phone/while driving/etc, but the original soundtrack is nice as a soundtrack to a game. Essentially the original soundtrack was 100+ songs with theme songs for all the characters, all the different boss battles, different events, for EVERYTHING. The PSP soundtrack has about 20-ish songs in total. It's a bit jarring only hearing the same few songs over and over, and in a game with lots of grinding, it gets especially annoying having to listen to the same one song over and over and over, which is where the complaint mostly stems.

Fair enough

Other then what Dalaam has already said about the ost, the tracks are also super short, so it's not just because there's only 20ish songs but it's also cause they loop so often. The ost for PSP also just doesn't fit the games tone.
And like I said in my review, PSP cut all the sound and lighting effects which again ruin the tone. For example after the Takeda fight the halls have alarm sounds and lights and once you get into the Deva System room there's explosion noises as it explodes, all of which (and more) were removed from PSP, sucking out any emotions those scenes had. The original cutscenes also just fit the game way more then the CGI cutscenes (minus the Philemon scenes, those can go). PSP also removed the SEBEC bad ending cutscene (most likely cause it parallels the original opening they also removed)
