I can't believe they never went for another completely fresh dex after this game. It's one of my favorite aspects of this game, along with the music and story. I kinda believe that the spritework is good but a bit overrated by some fans, but it's very solid overall. I think I prefer this game a bit more than the sequel just for its originality.
