I'm only a quarter of the way through, but it's the best FF14 expansion and might be the best final fantasy. I now love and care about the characters I didn't care about or like. The world is way different. The bad guys aren't obvious anime villains; you aren't sure who to trust. I don't know what happened, but they hired brand new developers for this, and they are just several steps above the old ones.

Worse than Stormblood and very slow. It tried to make me care about characters I don't care about and show that the character's actions were morally grey. I started skipping cutscenes in the post-expansion because it was just too slow.

A lot of people love this but I only liked the ending, everything else suffered from the same problems as the base MSQ. It's too slow and fetch questy.

This was such a slog. The dungeons and some bosses are fun, but half of the game is fetch quests. I'm talking about the base game, by the way. It's really an MMORPG first and a final fantasy game second.
