Up there as one of my favorite Metroidvanias, the exploration is incredibly engaging thanks to the use of multiple transformations and gameplay overall feels satisfying. What's keeping me from giving it a 5 star is that around the volcano area the game starts to become a slog for a while that you kind of have to force yourself to get through to get back to the fun.

The visuals and music are all amazing and it's a very pretty game, but the actual game part is just not good. Bosses all last way too long and lack any interesting mechanics.

The best out of the trilogy. The improved mobility for the on-foot dungeons means I don't have to dread playing them anymore. Flipping between using the VRV in the overworld makes exploration much more interesting. The final few bosses are my favorite out of the series and leave the trilogy on a satisfying finale.
