It is definitely, and sadly the lowest emotionally rated game of the franchise I've played, it just doesn't hold a narratively engaging story as each and every one did before it. I had high hopes for a lead role of a Bisexual, Korean character to come into her own stand out protagonist, but the tedious and unenthusiastic worst elements of Life Is Strange title being fully clear in this title, with a strong but still boring first episode, and even a twist and a vocally anti-capitalist / pro union worker narrative wash going to make this game great. It's unfortunate that though I agree and admire a lot of the ideas set, the title itself just wasn't capturing enough of itself and sells short, the charismatic, ernest acting of each character really carries the game itself tremendously. I really loved Arkanoid!

Life Is Strange: Before The Storm was nothing alike its previous first entry that initially drew everyone onto it, I think what hurts the game more is being of it's own individual title rather than an add-on DLC for the original title, as I think this game, serving as a prequel, compliments the first title well enough. However though, it is marred with contrived and unlikable writing that in retrospect, disables Chloe Price as an truly remorsed, affable, beloved platonic "partner to the end of time" and romantic gay interest that she is most embraced for. I like to think of this game as a lot better than it actually is just for the sake of what I know it could've been with a proper writing team. It's not a game to really play and think too much on but as a game that exists to serve fan service in a way, I appreciate it does exist.

The game was a cultural reset I believe in gaming. There was and still is nothing like Life Is Strange & the impact it had on everyone involved and engaged. The supernatural mystery, the coming of age setting of a fictional Oregan small town, the dorkable "tumbleresque " writing and direction, and the autumn embraced visuals, Life Is Strange, to me, was as a gaming cultural experience you had to be a part of through and through with each along waited episode. I think of this game like a solemnly sweet indie song I would listen to in a memory of the outside nature I have never even experienced something akin to.
