Here we go...

I played this game two years after the initial launch and the only thing I knew going in was that it was a rough launch.

BUGS:
Yeah, they are there, but I only had one occasion where it got in the way of gameplay, which was annoying but manageable. Besides that, it ran fine and I never really had any major issues that broke my game or made me frustrated. I was pleasantly surprised.

Gameplay:
Shooting felt good, really good with certain guns. Some of the enemies were bullet sponges and the perk system was confusing and really insignificant at the end of it all. I wish it all felt better than it did, but the main reason I kept coming back was not because I was having fun with the gameplay, even though shooting things was fun.

Night City:
This is the most beautiful, fleshed out world I have seen in a video game. It is very nice to look at, but there is always something behind every corner. It feels worthwhile to explore the city for new quests and items and it sure helps that it is a damn cool setting for a video game.

Story:
The acting is top tier. One of the best acted games, period. Everyone kills it and it was the main reason I finished the game. I wanted to see where these characters went and where they ended up. I was so invested in the characters, that it really makes up for an okay story.
The story really isn't anything bad, but it gets so confusing and convoluted that the only thing grounding me to the world was the characters. Maybe on repeat playthroughs I will appreciate it more, but if I have to hyper analyze the story of a game to enjoy it, it is not a great story.

I think Cyberpunk's launch tainted a game that would be received better than it is. In all honesty, this is one of the better open world games I have played in a while, but it has its issues, mostly in gameplay and performance, but it does much more right that I am sure I will be back in Night City again.
