I can see why people love this game. The story is very intriguing and unique. The setting rules, 15th century Italy is neat as hell and the world is laid out in a way that allows you to feel like a badass when traversing it.
What kills it for me was the gameplay. PC controls were not explained very well, resulting in a frustrating early game. On top of that, to complete the game, you are required to do a fetch quest of over 20 pages that really wasn't hinted at all until the game halted your progress until you collected them all.
This would really be another game that would benefit from a remake as updating the gameplay mechanics would really make this game feel like the classic it is hailed as.
