This is probably one of my least favorite Castlevania games. The game has it's moments, but it starts out really slow in the beginning with terrible feeling movement and slow progression, to just being unfair. In late game, enemies and bosses start to deal insane amounts of damage and get increasingly difficult to dodge. Some of the bosses are also just poorly made, but just know that overall the castle was very meh and the bosses, movement, Nathan's animations specifically, were all ranging from kind of weak to just bad. The music and some of the art/boss designs were pretty good though. I could listen to the OST all day, as long as I never have to do that Dracula fight ever again. (Spoilers for the bosses ahead if you care)

-Cerberus had multiple fast attacks that cover almost the entire screen, and deal a lot of damage for early game, not the worst boss though
-Necromancer's first phase wasn't bad once I learned the attack patterns but the second phase is very difficult to avoid when they use that one green ball attack where it bounces around the room, and due to the small screen, you can't always see it coming and have time to react (this is a problem in several fights through the game)
-Iron Golem was a pretty random boss to include in the game, the attacks are for the most part pretty easy to avoid, but he's a heavy hitter with a lot of health. Honestly not too bad
-Adramelech was pretty annoying until I realized you could use DSS to have a poison cloud around you that kills a lot of the things in that fight that can hurt you, but if you don't use something like that then there's way too much going on at once
-Zombie Dragon is the first boss I used save states on, I love the art for this one along with most of the rest of the game, but oh my god it's attacks are hard to dodge sometimes. It's heads move in a seemingly random way, and sometimes the cue that it's about to do a certain attack is hidden by the small screen cutting it off. Not only that, but there are two of them.
-Death was way too easy in this game. This is a game that has so many overly difficult and unfair boss fights, yet Death was one of the much easier ones for me to do. Again, use the poison cloud to help with the sickles flying towards you. Without the poison cloud it would probably have become overly difficult like the other boss fights, rather than actually being pretty easy, so if you want a challenge, I would suggest either no DSS or just not the poison cloud
-Camilla is one of the easiest bosses if not the easiest boss in the game. I had little to no trouble fighting her, as her attacks are very easy to avoid
-Hugh you could tell you would have to fight right from the very beginning. I had a lot of trouble with his fight, as a lot of his attacks are quick and have long range. He has all of the same moves you do, but can use all sub weapons instead of just one. His first phase is extremely easy, as you can bait him into attacking over and over and just keep punishing when he keeps missing. The second phase is much less easy though because while you can still bait him, he uses subweapons more often and his attacks are more powerful. He also does this thing where he summons I think 7 swords around him to fly towards you and each one that hits you heals him the amount that it took from you. This was easily countered by either spinning your whip and/or using... yes the poison cloud again. Once I started baiting him and using the poison cloud, he was really easy, one of the better made bosses in the game though, which is really saying something
-Dracula. Here we finally are, the big bad of the Castlevania games. The first phase is very easy, but the second phase I don't even want to talk about. It's that bad. It's not just incredibly hard, but it's long and tedious, with a lot of unfair attacks giving you little to no time to react. Highly recommend savestates, because this guy can deal 500 damage with one of his attacks, but don't worry, the other ones only do a few hundred, so maybe a quarter of your health.
