The gameplay is the best the series has ever been imo, which is ultimately what's most important in a fighting game. However, the singleplayer content has been heavily downgraded from their last game. MK11 had 3 gear slots, and a lot of skins for every character, this game only has one gear slot and like 3 skins per character. The story also doesn't make any sense, and is very boring. The choices the characters make (Especially Liu Kang) couldn't make less sense. Power scaling is also a complete joke in the story, MK11's power scaling excluding Aftermath was pretty good, so it's a downgrade from that. On top of that, the invasions mode is pretty boring, would've prefered the Krpyt for sure. There are also a lot of optimization issues on PC, which needs to be fixed asap.
