Immaculate 90s vibes but it's super unpolished and at times confusing

Exactly what you want out of an Indiana Jones adventure game

Gorgeous sprite work but I don't think they could've made the movement more of a pain in the ass if they tried

This game's really cool and I can't think of any reason not to like it but for some reason I just don't vibe with it that much? Like every time I look at what's there I'm like "this is rad!" And then 3 or 4 hours in I just fall off. Dunno what's up with that but I recommend it to anyone who likes JRPGs.

Feels great to play with the swimming mechanics' momentum to leap out of the water and such, unfortunately the game doesn't seem to know what to do with what it has. Quickly throws you into a dungeon environment where these elements are more of a burden than a gift. Worth a look nonetheless, coming to grips with the controls and exploring the early areas is an absolute delight.

This game is super cool, it's absolutely wild what they got working on a Super Nintendo and the bosses are really imaginative and dynamic. Definitely worth a look, kinda fucked up that people consider 64 the "real" start of this series because this is great

This game seems cool but I had to drop it pretty quick because it was overstimulating, so I don't feel I can really give it any particular star rating

Very impressive visually and in terms of direction, a bit of a fucking nightmare to play. All the usual cinematic platformer stuff applies, unresponsive controls, cryptic problem solving, frustrating trial and error gameplay. I hit my breaking point when I realized that one of my deaths hadn't sent me back to the beginning of an area but HAD reset some of the earlier puzzles in said area, unbeknownst to me. I can forgive a lot when you're pushing boundaries like this but flagrantly misleading the player like that is too much.

Man those redrawn graphics are ugly lol

You can play with the original pixel art, though, so if you like the original this is a perfectly good way to play it on modern hardware
