I dont know how we went from a really solid first game, to this unfunny garbage. As a defender of the Larry games, I really tryd multiple times to gives this a fair shoot but I ended up hating it more each time. Its all unfunny, cringy referencial humor paired with moon logic puzzles that suck every ounce of fun out of the game. Larry deserved better.

Very much sceptical of this reboot and all in all I think its overall very solid. Its writting is not as clever as the old games but the heart and vibe are here. Its a fun return of a gaming legend that will work for new comers and veterans.

Its rough. The transition to the new gen of consoles was defintily painful. Lots of unnecessairly convoluted mechanics and empty fields. By the end the atmosphere and characters still won me over, I would consider myself very much a fan of the game.

One of the most chilled out and just plain fun rpgs I have ever playd. Yes if your a sucker for the shiniest graphics and the most crisp gameplay youll have to get through some aspects that aged like milk, I cant even start debating that, but overall its such a vibe. If you can defintitly play the Game Cube version, the PC and PS3 versions are ok too, avoid the Switch version like its radio active waste.

Clunky to get going and very noticable running on a tight Budget. Theres a million confusing rpg stats and I admit that I run on alot of nostalgia with this but I think this has some real qualitys once you get past the dry as shit tutorial area.

Just the fact that I had so much fun and I was so engrossed by it that I actually did everything there is to do in this game from 2004 speaks for itself. Its the first time they nailed their vision. Borderline a horror game at times, its bare none my favorite of the OG games.

Its the best sequel to a rpg that nobody fucking playd, making this somehow even less playd. Yet one of my favorite rpgs ever, the 100% improved sequel cozzy rpg that I keep coming back to every couple of years. I think this frankly a big shame litteraly nobody ever talks about it.

I like this Game, it even has a Monkey Island cheat code. But trying to run this game at all on a machine newer than the year 2005 is like trying to uncover the Ark of the Covenant.

They set out to make Resident Evil 4 in space under the leadership of EA and they somehow managd to be on eye level with Capcoms most revolutionary title. The only issue I really have is that its way to easy. All you need is stasis and the plasmacutter and even the highest difficulty becomes a joke.

Im a sucker for the bad english dub and the atmosphere. yes the gameplay doesnt hold up to any standard and is incredibly frustrating at times but I think it says something about a game if you pick it up on a hunch for 5 bugs and fall in love with it despite all the flaws.

I have yet to play the original but I really like this remake on its own. The Story is great and I dont get why people rag on the dragon engine so much. I think it looks fucking goregous and the ragdolls in combat are hilarious.

The legends are overexaggerated. Hard but never impossible, even if you go for 100%. Its honestly on par with most good SNES platformers. The famous really bad save system is also a non issue: almost all bonus token are on your direct path so if your ok at the game your gona get a save every few levels. A decent start to a iconic franchise.

Its the long forgotten younger brother next to Fate of Atlantis and the Infernal Machine. It gets the vibe perfectly and is fun to play,. Well mostly fun, I do often stop playing when I actually get to the Emperors Tomb. Some of those platforming challenges will drive you into a early grave.

4 stars only cause the 3rd Act is still really rough, altough it didnt keep me from loving the content. That said: what an amazing fucking rpg, its 100% deserves the hype it got. I can not wait to see what larian does next, doesnt matter if its a new game or just dlc for BG3, I will be there day one to support it. Also: Karlach is best girl.

2017

I dont know what it is. Its gameplay and systems are super solid on paper, but something about its progression and story just always loses me.
