Whether you want to call it a "horror game" or not, Luigi's Mansion has a purely unique type of atmosphere that no other horror game has managed to recreate.

I love how cartoony and serious it is at the same time! The vibe of the mansion is definitely unique and memorable. It's not over the top either, like Dark Moon can be sometimes with it's slapstick comedy.

@CrystalPixel I don't think later Luigi's Mansion games matched what Luigi's Mansion 1 did in terms of ambiance. I appreciate mixing things up in sequels, but not at the expense of something this unique.
