have to uninstall it so I can get stuff done

Five years ago a little hidden indie gem you probably never heard of called Slay the Spire came out, masterfully combining roguelike mechanics and deck building, creating the first true videogame drug, however, unlike real crack cocaine, there is a finite amount of Slay the Spire, and eventually, the game ends. I've been dealing with withdrawals ever since, for five years I've searched far and wide for anything that could remotely recreate that feeling, that rush, but to no avail, it all felt like a cheap copy of the real thing, nothing came even close, that is until now.

Balatro is a roguelike deck builder based on Poker, that sentence alone should tell you everything you need to know about why this is so stimulating, for our own health and safety this game should be illegal, but it's here, it cannot be stopped now, so we might as well enjoy it, and damn am I enjoying it, but I'd be lying if I said that I'm not terrified to see what games this thing ends up inspiring, Pandora's box is now open and I am letting every demon in, I want roguelike Blackjack, roguelike Koi-Koi, fuck it, give me roguelike Mahjong, this game is so addicting I'm experiencing a pre-emptive detoxification, I already want more and I'm not even done with it, send help.

Oh. That's crack. That's cocaine crack drugs on the Steam top sellers list.

We love gambling, don't we folks?

Killed more friends than enemies at this point.

Love wins.

A phenomenal story filled with incredibly fun puzzles, a great cast of characters, and gorgeous settings. Idk what Croteam has in store next, but I'm excited for whatever it may be.

Movement felt a bit off to me, and the guns were hit or miss. Art design was nothing special and same goes for the soundtrack. If this hit me at a different time i may have still played it to the end but honestly i have way too much in my backlog to play more of this when im very meh on it in the first place.

Good soundtrack but everything just felt off to me. Movement was floaty, guns lacked any punch or feedback and visuals were just a bit too muddy in my experience. I can see love has gone into the game, and I know it's an incredibly small team holding the tools, but this just wasn't for me.

Nice gun selection, great movement and an honestly interersting story. Seven(the main character0 is pretty cool, has alot of mystery around her, but it left me wishing for more out of it. If they have a sequel i would like them to explore it more. If you like games that are similiar to quake, doom, Metal Hellsinger then I would recommend this game

For the conclusion of Ethan Winters' story, I couldn't have asked for a better game. Building upon the foundation of Resident Evil 7, Village stands as a superior rendition of that particular style. The story, surprisingly robust for the genre. Village truly shines in its gameplay and meticulously crafted world design, offering a seamless blend of tension, exploration, and strategic combat that elevates the overall gaming experience to new heights.

imagine working at clover studio in 2005, you lean over your co-workers shoulder to see one of the most beautiful cel shaded open worlds ever, flowers everywhere, a luscious white wolf running in the wind.

then you check out what someone else is working on and they're programing a spanking qte...

This is the peak of the Call of Duty series in terms of fun and cultural relevance. "Remember, No Russian" is still being studied by sociologists to this day. Caused a real debate about the nature of violence in games, yet it was also highly playable and fun. Black Ops 1 might have had a more engaging story for me personally, but I keep coming back to this one every few years.

Thought people were hyping this one up a little too much but no this is the best tekken and one of the best fighting games ever made. The new mechanics actively reward aggression and while the game is daunting in it's complexity it also allows for unprecedented levels of player expression and variety
