I know everyone loves this game but I just don't get it. Past like the first two levels the game just becomes incredibly easy to the point of mindlessness as you walk from left to right and kill every enemy with a charged Z-Saber hit while tanking shots with your three health bars with little to no challenging platforming. It's sort of mindlessly entertaining, and the story is pretty cool, but best game in the series? Nah.

Ok, but have you tried not being overpowered with your three health bars?

i am playing the game as it intended. i am using the upgrade it gives me for playing. the game shouldn't be a cake walk without doing a challenge run

@Dragonhyde that is just a problem with the game's design. It's like saying "just don't use the overpowered items in Symphony of the Night!!" well, yeah, it makes the game harder if you do that, but having such a broken option that any normal player could do is just a flaw with the game's core lol, and I say that as someone who likes both of these games

The game has a ranking system that incentivizes you to not rely on these upgrades too much and it gives you new moves when you're good enough, I don't think these two examples are comparable
"Simply stop using the OP tools so it won't be easy!" gotta be one of the most misused deflectors in video game arguments, you're supposed to use it with out-of-the-way optional goodies not within basic mechanics and structures

I've never been convinced that having system and features that make the game easier is a flaw with the game. With that same logic would a game having an easy mode be a flaw with the difficulty?

The cyber-elves are there to make the game easier and more accessible for players to craft their own difficulty, nothing about the game forces players to use it.

This is like bowling with bumpers and complaining the game is too easy.

Btw, to everyone reading this who wasn't played MMZ. You don't start out with three health bars, you only have one. You upgrade your health by using cyber-elves you find in the levels. The entire system is optional and the game is fully completable without engaging with it.

@Reddish, I you misunderstood my point. I'm not discussing item or weapon balancing, in that case I would be mentioning the Z Saber or Shield Boomerang. I'm simply talking about optional systems to make the game easier such as health extensions and armors. As someone who has played this game, as well as more Mega Man games than me, you should know what I'm referring to.
