Really disappointed in this, honestly. I feel like it got so overhyped just because it’s something different. The game looks really bland, all the environments look the same, which is very detrimental, considering that’s a key part of any exploration type game, and the story was exhaustingly boring. I love visual novels, and even this was just too much for me. I kinda just wanted to be done with this the whole time. Everybody was saying this is SO good, which really hurt my expectations, considering the game (in my opinion) is nowhere near as good as people have hyped it to be. I wish we didn’t spend $60 on this, I honestly enjoyed Let’s Go Eevee more.

This is just my opinion, so don’t get all rawr rawr on me, okay? I’m very glad that many other people are enjoying it, it’s just personally not my jam. (I really just needed to vent about my experience with it.)

Somebody needs to do a mash-up w/ this and “Demons” by Hayley Kiyoko.

Serial Cleaner BUT you do the killing too.

Get’s really challenging at the end where there’s no hiding spots, but it’s challenging in a fun way! If you like Party Hard or Serial Cleaner you’ll probably like this.

Man, does this go places! (And I’m so glad it did, what a wonderful and impactful game that’s made by only one person!)

Try this if you can (it’s on humble) it’s worth your time.

I really, really, really love this game. I’ve always been fond of the Life is Strange series, but this one really hit me hard. Such an amazing narrative, great characters, and both the romance options were great (I’m only polyamorous in games, I’ve recently found out (people suck in real life), which really makes me appreciate the freedom of polygamy in Boyfriend Dungeon. I wish I could’ve given the rose to both of them!!!). This is one of my favorites for sure. I cry at everything, but this made me cry a lot. And not only did I cry a lot, but the crying felt meaningful. I love playing games where I can take something away from it, and I will take many things away from this one. A must play if you love visual novels, are really emotional, and love a good story, because honestly, video games seem like the best way to get one nowadays.

P.S. I chose Steph 🌹
P.S.S. Also, damn! I was thinking about Lake recently and it turns out that this and Lake are pretty darn similar! Either you stay or go w/ the girl who has a big hobby and has a store based around it (movies or music) or the sweet lumberjack. Both take place within a small and tranquil town, where the main character just moved in. They also came out like 10 days apart from each other…

One of the best puzzle games I’ve ever played, that’s great if you want something challenging, rewarding and heartwarming! Highly recommend!

Be gay stop crime.

Translation: I want this REALLY FREAKING BADDDDD

Love all these Spongebob references in games!!! Keep ‘em coming!

Really cute & cozy demo! Looking forward to what comes next !

This game can be very glitchy, especially on the contracts. For example, you can painted the whole room but the game still says you have 2% left. It gets really annoying when you (stupidly) trust what the game is saying and look everywhere to find the speck of paint you missed. It wants you to do the house in a very specific order or else it’s going to glitch out and you have to exit out of the level and go back in, which can take maybe up to 5 minutes in itself in waiting time (at least on the Xbox One) to fix it. I switched off the cockroaches, yet I find myself switching it back on, so it registers that I vacuumed up all the glass, which can be very hard to see. What’s the point of that option if you have to switch it back and forth for it to actually work?

This game also got me very frustrated when it wouldn’t tell me what walls to break down! It doesn’t tell you anything about the minimap color coding, or which color it is that it wants you to break down, so I ended up breaking a lot of the house down just to find which wall it wanted (this happened to other people because it’s one of the many things the game doesn’t tell you!). Well anyway, after confusedly tearing the house down, my Xbox one controller died and I needed to get batteries, which just so happened to be in my basement. So I started walking down the stairs and I slipped. I don’t know why, but I just slipped. I I thankfully caught myself, but I still had two very scraped elbows for like a week. I blame this game for making me angry.

You would think this is a relaxing game on the surface, which it is, until it either breaks in a way which is not your fault, or doesn’t communicate something as in WHICH WALLS TO DEMOLISH AND THEN YOU FALL DOWN THE STAIRS.

I spent so much time decorating a home in a contract (a waste of time and money I now know, because doing extra work and decoration isn’t acknowledged in this game), and for some reason it was glitching out with the walls. I looked it up and apparently so many people had issues with this aunt’s house level, so much so that it had to patched, since people were having trouble with the radiator installation. It got patched, but this level is still broken for me, 3 years later, and my issue is completely different with the walls saying I didn’t demolish them, even though I did and I didn’t rebuild them after. So, I decided to exit out of the level and go back in, and when I came back it turned out I had to get rid of the majority of the decorations I now placed to 100% the level.

Part of me has a lot of fun renovating houses, but all of these stupid glitches that happen because I don’t do rooms in a specific order (seriously, the solutions people had to come up with for the aunt’s house and other levels are renovating the rooms in a very specific order- so you can 100% the level, without it breaking)!!! I also read that people think they did the bare minimum in making this game and I think I agree. They made a game where you can renovate houses, but it also has many glitches, you have to buy expensive dlc just to get more furniture (the base game should make it where you unlock more furniture as you level up!) doing anything extra after finishing the checklist of requirements is literally just a waste of money, you can’t change the roof, you can’t expand the house except by rebuilding rooms if you want more space, there’s no options for windows, no outdoor furniture whatsoever in the base game, I could (clearly) go on and on. It very likely didn’t happen this way (because making games is extremely difficult and time consuming), but it does feel like the bare minimum of effort went into this - there’s such a lack of polish to this game which really undermines all the fun aspects, which they must’ve spent so much time working on!!! Sorry this is a rant but I just got fed up with this game today when Chang Choi wouldn’t buy my home (which I specifically catered to him) because I installed a freaking toilet. He apparently liked the house less than Mr. Futuristic Bachelorpad when I installed a TOILET. I ended up having to delete decorations for him to enjoy having a toilet and a shower in his bathroom.

P.S. I guess I have a personal vendetta against this game now? My poor elbows…

Management sims are one of my favorite genres, but for some reason I didn’t have any fun with this. I read some reviews of two point hospital and I came to the conclusion that there’s not enough depth to it? You also have to wait a bit until you unlock the training rooms and research points but it still wasn’t enough. I wanted to continue playing but it felt like I was just going through the motions. It doesn’t really feel like there’s that much for you to do and it gets repetitive very quick.

The Xbox One version (and the game in general) has a lot of little glitches to it too. Every time I get my paycheck, the game freezes for 5+ seconds, sometimes it just does that when I don’t earn my paycheck. One time when I loaded it up it was pretty much happening constantly for 5 minutes. When I get my end of the year overview awards I can’t move the analog stick over to get the fleshed out review instead of the one page version. It takes almost a minute every time for me to be able to move the analog stick to the ‘next’ button. Every. Single. Time. Items also get invalidated consistently for no reason, so I have to pick them up and drop them for them to reset - this can also happen even after it let me place an item I had a feeling might cause an issue. Also, when you’re building a room for the first time, if you misplace one item that invalidates another one, you basically have to rebuild the room over, since you can’t sell/get rid of anything while in that mode, and if something is invalidated, you cannot get out of that mode without restarting the whole room over. Just a lot of quality of life issues and glitches that really hampered my already un-fun experience.

In summary, Two Point Campus felt very repetitive for me, which didn’t really stimulate my brain as much as a management sim/sim game like Let’s Build a Zoo or The Sims would. You basically learn everything you need in the first college and that’s the majority of the game already. Everything else you learn is just extra fodder and doesn’t drastically change the game. It’s just place the necessary classrooms, a bathroom & shower room, a few dormitories and then start the year and gradually add more of the same stuff & libraries, private tuition rooms and student unions for each college. I was really excited to play this game, but (personally) it doesn’t have enough of an engaging gameplay loop for me to enjoy it.

Play co-op and watch player one get 150,000+ points(!) and then get a nice 2,000.

The co-op mode is the equivalent of watching somebody take pretty much all of your dinner and then leaving you with meaningless parts of each food to eat (crumbs!). Not satisfying to be player 2 ☹️

P.S. Also crashed on my PS5 5 times in one day ☹️☹️

Edit: Beat it and now the game has crashed a total of 15 times.

2020

Just feels really pretentious and I really don’t wanna do all those puzzles. Plus, the original game looks way better.

Really enjoyed it but gave me the blue screen two times so I can’t really finish it (so far) :/
