While I do respect the revolutionary legacy of this game, it doesn't save it from being a frustrating nightmare that ruined my experience.

Lack of checkpoints when dying.
Fragile and hard to control vehicles.
Insufferable brutal police AI.
Bad to straight up unfair mission design.
Forgettable story and characters.

Thank God I played Vice City and San Andreas first.

Feels like a unhinged Fire Emblem fanfic, instead of a actual game.

At least it wasn't Fire Emblem Fates levels of bad.

The only thing that is worse than CS4 is Fire Emblem Fates series at as a whole.

I didn't hate CS4 originally as it was one of the last PS4 games that I completed before upgrading to PS5 last year, but after finishing both Reverie and Azure in the same time frame, in addition to revisiting CS3 for a platinum trophy attempt, flaws of CS4 became more noticeable to a point where I couldn't stand it anymore, despite in retrospect enjoying the first two games in retrospect.

If it wasn't for Fie and Duvalie stuff the former is my favourite character in the series, the game would got a dead 1/10 from me.

Falcom were just unhinged degenerates here, which makes me sad as I generally like majority of their stuff.

Rean and Crow were done dirty here :(
