Are you too happy with life? Do you find yourself experiencing too much joy in your day-to-day? Do you want a little bit of misery? Well, from the hands of some clearly very troubled individuals comes Shrek Treasure Hunt, a reminder that, no matter how much good humanity can do, we can do just as much, if not more, bad.

As far as LucasArts adventure games, this isn't their finest work. It's pretty clunky, and unless you have a guide you're gonna spend hours trying to click on every little inch of the screen in the hopes of something happening. Despite that, I loved this through and through. As an Indy fan, getting to play an expanded version of one of his greatest adventures was an awesome treat, and it's clear this had loads of love and passion put in. Still, I can only really recommend this one if you REALLY love Indy or classic point-and-clicks, and have the patience to put up with its jank. If not, Fate of Atlantis is probably gonna be more your thing, but this is still an awesome love letter to the original movie, and a pretty fun adventure game, despite its flaws.

obama is one of the greatest gamers ever, which is why he has teamed up with nintendo to make his own video game. this is one of the greatest achievements for the cube, featuring 1 billion polygons on the obama ball, and a microphone that can pick up every noise on earth, down to the breathing of the ants in your cupboard. this is a must play for all humans or otherwise

Feels kinda weird rating this so high, but like, there's nothing objectively wrong with it. It works great, even on modern operating systems (using the correct patches, of course) and it's got no missing content, licensed tracks aside. Speaking of, the music is obviously this version's downside. You get the choice between MIDI or FM Synth, and on modern hardware neither sounds great, but with the correct components from the era you could get fairly close to Genesis sound, but, as previously mentioned, the infamous MJ tracks have all been taken out and replaced for the prototype tracks. Personally, I like these just fine, although I still prefer the final tracks. Is there a reason to play this in the modern day? Not really, curiosity aside. If you own a modern PC, you have a million different ways to play this game that are gonna be infinitely better, so this moreso stands as an interesting relic of a bygone time, when porting a Genesis game was considered a good option.
