Games that Were On my Mind While I was at the Beach

Very specific topic here. I was kinda on break from Backloggd for the past week while my family went to the beach, but I still gave thought to a lot of games.

One of my best buds had been playing this game for the past few months and he finally made it to the DLC which is pretty handily my favorite part of the game. It ended up being the kinda game that I looked back on even more fondly than when I initially finished it, and it was just so satisfying to watch a good friend gain a similar kinda love for it. Definitely a favorite and will go more in-depth with it in an upcoming review.
I promised my good pal Midrulean that I'd play this after coming back from my trip, and I still plan on doing that very, very soon. It's a game that's been on my radar for a while, especially after finishing the original AA trilogy and loving that shit to pieces. Even more than any of the sequel games that actually came out before it, this one has a charm to it that seems extremely inviting and I have faith it'll deliver.
Similarly to Bloodborne, two of my good pals are going through this monster. Most of what I said about that game is true here, and maybe even moreso. But above all else, talking about Dark Souls III in this context made me realize just how much of a social experience these games are. Even when you're not the one holding the controller, you can almost experience these games vicariously when interacting with friends going through em.

Idk, I just think that's fun.
This one's been cooking for a while and considering that, before I left for the beach, I was right at the cusp of one of the finest finales in gaming, this one was in my head a whole lot.

ALSO Atlus porting this version of the game instead of FES is really, really stupid.
Another game I had to hold off on because of this trip.
Fata Morgana is, at the moment, my second favorite game PERIOD, so then they give me a DLC expansion that gives a deeper look into two of my favorite characters? I was ready from the word go. I'm absolutely ready for this to blow me away just like the original game.

Also I blasted the base game's OST in my ears throughout the whole vacation, so yeah, I'm pretty damn excited.
