Funny story. A while ago my original 3DS broke along the hinge. If you didn't know all the wiring is in the left side with the lights so the rest is expendable. But what ended up happening is that I ended up having to get a new one from eBay. It didn't show up in time for christmas and that has stuck with my grandma ever since. Flash forward to last year. We were saving up for a PS5 and hoping to get one in time for christmas again. My grandma goes ahead and drops $800 for it from a scalper. Immediately I knew something was wrong, more than just the overpriced console, so I went and checked the order. It was the digital console. We tried keeping it a secret from her and telling her on christmas (looking back that might not have been a good idea) but even after the box came she still had no idea and eventually started talking about getting me games for it. This is when I told her. Remember kids, don't get Hero Syndrome.
