I thought I might possibly like this game, but MAN it was so much more fun than I expected

One thing I don't like is most puzzles are either embarrassingly easy (even late game) or extremely difficult, and most puzzles don't have much of an inbetween lmao

That being said, this is an amazing game. I know there's some heart wrenching story but that's mostly just in the background and I wasn't listening all that much lol, most just wanted to finish the puzzles as fast as I could so Steam would tell me how long it took me for my first attempt at all the puzzles

The mechanics kept getting more and more interesting and unique and GOD I loved that

This is definitely a game I'd go back to and for sure a game I'd recommend to others

8/10

This mod is perfect if you've played the fork out of Elden Ring and want something to "spice it up" again. The same way the Randomizer mod made me fall in love with Elden Ring again when it first came out, so did this mod

This mod adds many classes, and while I'm only at the end of my second playthrough of this mod so I've only tried two of the classes, they're so much fun. Quite overpowered imo, but fun nonetheless. So far I've done Mystic and the rot class (forgot the name), next I'm probably gonna do the frenzy one

This mod also adds a ton of quality of life stuff. You can open your map/fast travel with enemies aggro on you, more spirit springs, more convenient graces, adds a TON of sacred tears and makes it so you only need one golden seed for every upgrade to the flask (which honestly I don't like this change but it's still technically a "quality of life", it's just a bit too much imo), they changed the weapon upgrade system to be more like the Dark Souls games (which I honestly prefer), and more

Convergence also makes other very nice changes, such as taking Gideon out altogether (one of my all-time least favorite bosses in any Souls game I've played) and replaces him with a really fun boss. Replaces Godskin Duo with a really sick variation of the lions you can fight in base game (while I actually really like the Godskin Duo fight, I also really enjoy this fight and it's a nice change of pace and freshens up the mod, so it's a good change imo)

Also a shoutout to the Godskin Matriarch boss (I think I got that name right), honestly one of my favorite bosses in any Souls game

And the best part is, the Seamless Coop mod works with Convergence. It's SO much more fun with a friend

So really the only things I dislike about this mod are the overabundance of golden seeds and sacred tears, and also how overpowered all the mage classes are. Other than that, it's a fantastic mod, and it's not even finished yet. I can't wait to see what else comes out for the mod

I'm sure there's more I can say about this mod, but this is all I can think of right now. For sure try it out if you haven't already

Kind of wild to think how this is just a fanmade mod for the game, it feels like a proper full game release from Valve themselves

It brings back everything you know and love from Portal/Portal 2, and it adds more on top of that. Sick mechanics like turning off the power, tubes that suck you and/or objects in or blow out, cleansing liquid (I think that's what it was called) that doesn't allow gel to pass through, ability to turn off those blue fields that destroy objects/erase portals, and probably more I'm forgetting

I really liked both original characters the game added, that one woman and her vacuum that was made sentient (forgot both their names lmao). I also don't know the name of the protag you play as, if she has one, but tbh she kinda looks like Daisy Ridley to me. Until I find out her actual name, again, if she has one, I will be calling her Daisy lmao

Really my only gripe with the game is that the ending was kind of underwhelming/anti-climactic imo. I thought the boss fight itself was pretty cool, but story wise it kind of just... happened. And it felt like it ended abruptly/out of nowhere

Probably about a 7.5/10

Pretty sure this is a massive hot take, but this game is better than Dark Souls 1

I think, for the most part, DS1 has better bosses, but DS2 is a better game in general. DS2 bosses are WAY easier than possibly any boss in DS1, which is sad and makes DS2 suffer in regard to bosses

My favorite boss is for sure, without a doubt, Watcher and Defender (80% sure I got that name right lmao). They were like, the ONLY difficult boss, but sadly even then they weren't THAT bad. But the fight itself was still really cool and better than any fight in DS1

This game has a lot of questionable choices put into it, but it's still a fun, enjoyable game. ADP is a bad addition to the game, but the game is so easy that you can hard focus pouring levels into ADP and the game still won't get any difficult by the time you get to 27 ADP (supposedly the equivalent of a light roll in DS1), so that makes me kind of not mind ADP so much

Little to no iframes for entering fog walls I also think is a bad decision, but it's not that big of a deal, especially if you just kill people on the way to the wall so they can't attack you instead of just running by everything

Though, I most likely enjoyed this game more than most people because I gave myself 99 human effigies at the very beginning so I could play with my friends without having to farm any, so that made it a bit better. But thinking about it, I think if I didn't do this, it wouldn't make me like the game TOO much less than I currently do

This game just plays and feels better than DS1, I just wish the bosses were challenging

Would probably give this game about a 6/10

Please keep in mind that Elden Ring was my first Fromsoft Souls game and my perspective on this game can't help but be swayed by that

This game is too easy, which makes it kind of boring. It's also a bit janky (yeah yeah, I know, "product of it's time", still doesn't make it not janky), and also only have four directional rolling is terrible and I hate it lmao

Most of the bosses are mid/boring, but I do love Asylum Demon (with the beginner broken weapon thing), Horny and Smoke (I don't remember their name), and Gwyn

I think that's all I have to say about it but if not I'll edit the review

About a 3.5/10

Saw a clip of this game on Facebook and it look cool, so decided to give it a try

It's not necessarily a bad game, it's kind of everything it says it is

It just wasn't nearly as fun as I expected. It was a nice experience I guess, but it was quite boring after like two seconds. I feel like any Superman simulator like this would be like that

Was pretty disappointed that if you kill enough humans/buildings, you get in trouble for that. That's the main reason I got the game lmao

2.5/10

Not a huge fan of how it practically holds your hand for the chess portion of the game, telling you everywhere you can go and every person you can attack if you click on a piece. It really feels like the chess part is a very minor part to the game and the fighting is what's really focused on. This is especially true because as long as you're good at fighting games, you don't have to be good at chess at all and you can still win easily. The chess seems like an after thought and that was pretty disappointing

Also, I can't put my finger on why, but the fighting in the game seems a bit wonky. There's something about it that's just off (I also don't like that A (Xbox)/X (PlayStation) is used to jump instead of another attack button

All that being said, I still really do like this game. I love both chess and fighting games, so this was a cool combination

6.5/10

I was interested in this game at first and my brother bought it for me. Played it and honestly like it a lot more than I expected. I'm not a huge horror fan but it's a super fun party game with the homies, would recommend

7-7.5/10

Super fun party game, wish I had more friends that had the game

This game blows Remastered and Miles Morales out of the WATER

This was everything I wanted and more. The combat, the abilities rework, the story, the character redesigns, I love it all. I think every character looks much better in this game than the first and the graphics are noticeably better as well

The slice of life missions/minigames were top tier and felt very nice, especially the bike ride with Harry and the heartwarming, chill moments at the amusement park

And the story? Oh lord, the story was chef's kiss. Kraven is one of my all-time favorite Spidey villains and GOD he was so GOOD in this game, literally the ideal male physique. Would smash/10. There were so many emotional scenes, and not just in the main story, but the side missions as well... especially Howard and his pigeons ;_;

One thing I like about this game is that it doesn't hold your hand nearly as much as the first game, and I love that. Like the final Doc Ock fight in the first one was honestly extremely underwhelming because your hand is held so much. Don't get me wrong, this game still holds your hand, just not as much. And I appreciate that

And Peter's Symbiote Surge ability? Sure it turns the game into a "Press Square Simulator", but GOD I DON'T CARE BRO IT'S SO FORKING COOL AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT'S WORTH THE PRESS SQUARE SIMULATOR IT'S SO COOOOOOLLLLLL

Peter becoming a crazy frickin' cycle path was expected but GOD was it done well, and I don't think they held back with it. They could have had him kill somebody, like Yuri/Wraith or something, but I think it's fine that they didn't

This is possibly my second favorite game of all time

Best Souls-like there is

2014

Not a fan. It was a whole lot of not fun

Top tier childhood memories. Haven't played it in recent years at all, might have to do that one of these days
