ah my golden era, I don't miss you but I left you a legacy

best mystery experience I've ever had (common route)

the rest is mid

Story with flashes. Great moments but 75% of it is awful

MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID but rea's route ending is peak

Extremely interesting world, very entertaining the main theme has to do with the voice of the characters. Because of this, the soundtrack for this game is practically god tier. The big problem was the development of the characters, I didn't like it.

fun, unique and amazing characters
the rest isn't that good

One of my biggest disappointments with a VN. Full of plot holes, Sachi's route is one of the worst I've ever read. A shame because I loved the anime many years ago.

DDLC but worse

destroys almost everything yakuza 0 did right

Yakuza 7 marks the decline of this series once for all, unbelievable. This game is on the same pedestal as Yakuza 3, F tier
Ryu Ga Gotoku's combat has become a generic's JRPG, all due to the insistence on wanting to be like Dragon Quest.

Several big franchises are reinventing themselves and trying to make new experiences for the players, and Yakuza, instead of also looking for a new experience for its players, decided to look for an already existing idea. In terms of being mediocre, this series will never disappoint me.

I don't want to go into details because I don't review spoilers but, in the narrative, this Yakuza returns with the flaws of the old games that were being fixed bit by bit, threwing it all down the sewer again.
Fire Emblem and Yakuza are two things from the same bag, two famous series but with a pitiful storytelling, it looks like it was written between 15yo high school classmates

The message it wanted to convey is beautiful, but its poor storytelling didn't help one bit and, finally, once again let's discard characters that are no longer useful to the plot, from the moment they regretted it and had nothing more to say, goodbye!! Suck my balls if it's exciting watching this same snowball for 7 games

This franchise once and for all doesn't know how to create heritage to its future games. If we look back we only have Majima (dude had only 1 game and was never important anymore), Saejima, Daigo, Kiryu and Haruka, the rest are tools that complement the plot. Even the ones who were left alive never appeared again, the form this series discard characters is appalling.

I think that once and for all I'm tired of Yakuza series, it's not worth my time anymore.
I'm sorry if I offended you, if you like Yakuza I have nothing against you, I'm just upset at the moment while my friends laugh at me behind my back because once again I decided to play an entire franchise and in the end it was just a mediocre juice
Several people asked me to play Lost Judgment but I don't want anything to do with Ryu ga Gotoku anymore, there's no salvation, forgive me

I'm fucking out

Even with this low rating, this game is sovl and was made with love. The gameplay deserves to be highly praised, a turn based inspired by the 90s style, it was supposed to be something limited to always the same thing, but the game presented fun and vigorous combat. The soundtrack was great, being one of the biggest points of the game alongside its artistic direction... and in the end, the biggest flaw of this work: the bland storytelling, villains, principles, characters and shallow plot, few dialogue, few build up... shallow in its essence. A game that could have been way, way, way better than it actually was.

Even though its thematic was awesome, it was a big lost of potential.
