Another one of VNs I'll never ever in my whole life will have someone to talk about

75% is mid but BRO THE ENDING BRO, I WOULD GIVE IT 4 STARS FOR THAT WAIT WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE GIRL I DON'T REMEMBER IT'S THE TWINTAIL ONE BROOOOOO THAT WAS GOOD I KNEEL FOR THAT, I KNEEL

Basic story (still good), the true end is pretty good, but insufficient. I was expecting a more elaborate story, but the game is more focused on gameplay. What a pity.

The ultimate definition of a classic Japanese RPG game at its peak

Stellar soundtrack with pure orchestra and a world so well developed that left me scared. Breathtaking twists. One of the most complete games I've ever played. That's a story at its 100% potential.

A great journey that lasted over 65 hours for me, one that I will hardly forget. See you again soon, hero.

The mystery was great and consistent most of the time. Both routes were very interesting. The start of Majima's route was better, but overall I preferred Kiryu's one, I like him more. The worldbuilding was very nice, I like a lot of characters more now, like Nishiki

On the other hand, Yakuza continues with some bad addictions that make the series inconsistent. The final stretch was a little disappointing. The author is still addicted to killing characters for nothing or because yes or because they're no longer useful to the author.

also the fights of the last two chapters were dragged af

but yeah kiryu and majima are great characters

After replaying it, I noticed how well like wine this game ages up, especially its final stretch, that managed to surprised me. The cast of characters is the definition of solid.

SURPRISED. Solid, well-written mystery. I definitely didn't know that Kaoru existed and that she was a well-written character. I wasn't expecting Kiwami 2 being that good. What makes this Yakuza probably the best yet is that it brings a heritage (finally).

Key died here. This was the last soul VN from them.
