I hate the character design in this more than any Cave game but this has to be mechanically the most forgiving in their roster, and some of the most beautiful sprite work and music. Kind of a synthesis of Mushihimesama and Esp Ra.De. Will be replaying I'm sure!

Basically like being inside a early 90s Yoshiaki Kawajiri OVA but also Yagawa has to be the most sadistic shmup developer, I was laughing out loud at how hard this was on advanced mode but even parts of training mode, basically quarter feeding and spamming bombs until I would die 10 seconds later. Cool that you get to choose characters that have different endings and cool that it has 4 different modes to play but I will take clean design and austerity over customization any day. I get (and will continue) grinding Cave stuff, but between this and Battle Garegga no thank you! I think I am running out of shmups to try and I will now stick to what I like!

Pretty gorgeous and the shikigami mechanic forces some very unusual strategies, the moments I was able to get a hang of it felt great. But has to be the most ridiculously hard first loop final boss in any Cave game. Very underrated but probably won't be returning to it as often as the others.
