Most fun splatoon gameplay imo, just reallyyyy wish there were more levels… way too short, and it gets less replayable once you’ve grinded out everything. Also wish there were more collectables; for example Cipher’s shop is pretty lacking and could use more items.
Also wish there were more lore to it? I was expecting a lot more in the lore department… Really liked the dev diaries though, and seeing dedf1sh’s character get expanded on was great (i’ve been their number 1 fan since day 1)

i tried to get into it for the meme but it was so slow paced i couldn’t take it
i love the splatoon series, and i did enjoy the story mode very much, but i can’t help but feel a little sad at how rushed it was.
when i saw the original story mode concepts, i felt like we missed out on something huge which makes me feel very saddened… like there was a whole lot more potential that could’ve been tapped into.
as for non-story mode related content, well… i’m a bit disappointed in some areas.
- i think it was a bad idea to take away different ranks between different modes
- the exclusive catalogue gear, at the time i’m writing this, seems to be permanently missable content if you don’t level up the current seasons catalogue in time. this sucks a lot because my circumstances made me unable to play the game for months after its release (which i already was unhappy enough about)
- i’m also unhappy with being unable to change your name at will. i used to change my name to silly things with friends, but now i’m hesitant to because i don’t want to wait 30 days to have a normal name again.
- i find the sticker limit on the lockers disappointing… this is probably one of the pettiest complaints, but i reallyyyy wanted - and was trying, to cover my locker in stickers…
there’s probably more, but i can’t think of it right now. either way, i feel like this game is currently lacking. i’m hoping they do a lot more with it and don’t abandon it, but i can’t say for sure what way they’ll go with it yet.
