I’m in the small percentage of people who did not care for the first Ori game when I played it. I do, however, like this game. It’s so obviously derivative of Hollow Knight without really doing much else though. At points I just felt as if I’d rather be playing that game. Hollow Knight isn’t as fast but it’s got its own well developed world, history and characters, whereas Ori 2 only has some of that. Ori 2 just kind of takes the charm system from that game without innovating on it whatsoever. I don’t have a problem with the borrowed mechanics but is changing things up too much to ask for? Nevertheless it’s a good game despite a lot of unfortunate technical hiccups when I played it.
