Haven't played Blood yet, but I would say that Dusk gets better as it goes so if you only played the first few levels it might be worth giving it another go.

@personperson i thought episode 1 was boring so i jumped ahead to see what i was in for in the later ones and i wasn't really being won over by that either. just felt to me like a lamer quake with aesthetic inspiration from blood. i might try it again when it goes on a good enough sale

that's completely fair. tbh it isn't a worldshaker or anything, just a boomshoot with a great skill ceiling and david szymanski level design (trademark pending). dusk doesn't have shit on blood, stephen weyte cameo aside. also it goes on sale for 7 dollars on gog often but like... as sick as the mechanics are, if you found the later levels boring i can't say it'll do much for you and there's not really anything new here. my fave level in the game is kinda just constantines mansion but fps lmao

@personperson sounds like it's worth at least giving another shot later on. i'm admittedly not into a lot of the boomer shooter revival type stuff - i tend to value weightiness in shooters over speed/mobility - but there's exceptions to everything
