Not as in love with some aspects as others but still think the writing is pretty good and ultimately I enjoyed my time with it. Trades off some polish for being interesting which ends up being somewhat worthwhile but results in about 5 hours I wish weren't in the game.

I hit a guard in the head with a coconut and the dopamine receptors go wild. Few games are as good at what they set out to do as IO's Hitman games are at creating the conditions for interesting/engaging im sim play. Freelancer mode makes full use of the systems and maps that often end up underutilized while playing its story campaign.

A really great little stealth puzzle game that keeps its mechanics super tight throughout its run, leveraging the physical chunkiness of typing on a keyboard to increase tension. Great ascii visuals that are charming but very readable.

A story who's form makes for a real achievement in ambitious narrative design. It is surprising and complex and occasionally pretty clumsy and also I don't understand many things and these are all both positives and negatives in a compelling and strange story. The strategy combat is fun, flashy, and digestible enough for someone not really into that genre.
