Brothers is one of few games to have emotionally affected me. And the game's controls are a big reason why - at least on an actual controller and not a keyboard/mouse combo. It is simple, if a bit esoteric: one side of the controller controls the younger brother, the other side controls the older. Hard at first, becomes second nature as you go through the game, and become better at having said two brothers cooperate with each other.

While the game's emotional punch hinges on one specific moment, it would be a mistake to reduce Brothers to it. There is an entire game that builds up to it, after all - both in controls and in story. Even spoiled, it affected me all the same, because it wasn't truly spoiled, in a way.

This game is one of my favourites.
