A female protagonist that fights with her emotions? What did Nintendo mean by that?

A pretty good game that holds up with the rest of the Mario spinoffs. The feature of using the different emotions to do stuff was good for a lot of puzzles. I also really liked the music in the game.

However, this game did one of the most annoying things that games like this can do: make collectibles required. In order to fight Bowser, you need to find every Toad in the game, which is super annoying and tedious since there was no way of knowing that while playing through the levels the first time. I also found the final boss fight to be a bit awkward and not straight forward.
