This game managed to capture the charm of the original campaign while still managing to be unique enough from the original that it feels fun to play. The altered stages, changed boss fights, and remixed music were nice to see during the first playthrough, with the story perfectly serving as a prequel to the original while also serving as a tragic backstory of one of the villains. The controls and movement were just as satisfying as the first game, but I didn't really like how the wall climbing was automatic since it messed me up quite a few times.

I definitely liked it better than the Plague Knight campaign.
