Sights & Sounds
- The game looks amazing. Wonderful art direction all around
- The music is also excellent and does a great job setting the tone. A lot of light-hearted, fun to listen to tracks
- The character design is pretty cute

Story & Vibes
- At this point, I've only done my first playthrough, so I don't think I've figured out the "true ending" yet
- In your first playthrough, you'll attempt to figure out what mysterious fate is supposed to befall Pat, a particularly paranoid alligator. Looking at the achievements, the ending you receive the first time through isn't the actual ending
- The game has a fantastic sense of humor. I found myself chuckling throughout

Playability & Replayability
- As you're investigating the situation for Pat, you'll go around Alligator New York City interviewing Pat's friends and relatives. For each one, you'll play a little minigame. If you succeed, you collect their photo
- While many of the minigames are entertaining, there are a few duds
- Despite gameplay largely being a collection of minigames, this one won't give you WarioWare vibes. Bit of a different animal (ha) in terms of the design. You won't be rapidly going from one game to the next; each is partitioned by exploration and conversation
- I'll be circling back around to this game someday to further explore what it's got going on

Overall Impressions & Performance
- While it's not a graphically intensive game, it's worth noting that my first playthrough ran perfectly and without bugs

Final Verdict
- 6/10. It's possible that this game will grow on me in future playthroughs, but at first blush, it's just a cute game without a massive amount of depth. I'll probably update this review after I finish it again. Keep in mind it sits at 1.5-2 hours per playthrough, so the bang for your buck will largely depend on how many times you want to play it and dig into its secrets
