this was my introduction to FE through the 3DS ambassador program and i really enjoyed it! i immediately glued to the combat system. after having played the other gba FEs, this continued to be my favourite - i think the optional grinding was good for me, because it enabled me to enjoy the game as the power fantasy that a lot of RPGs are. since then i have grown fond of the brutal tactical difficulty of the FE series, and i'm sure if i went back to this game looking for that i might be disappointed - but i think all of the systems in this game lend really well to a potentially very difficult very fair game lol
i love love love this game, i played this after getting FE8 in the 3ds ambassador program and i fell in love from the first cutscene after the prologue. i can’t summarise everything i love about this game rn just know that i do
i gotta be real, v3’s ending is one of my favourite endings in any piece of media ever. while i don’t think the overall cast is necessarily as strong as dr2’s, i do think there are some standout characters in v3 that just steal the show and make the game so so memorable. it does sometimes do some upsetting danganronpa things, but its highs are just so high for me that i can’t reasonable rate this any lower than 5. i think v3 is better than 2
