Q3 Arena + 4th wall breaking + Matrix - it`s not a typical boomer shooter, of which you can find dozens in steam, it is a very conceptually interesting Narrative indie - we find ourselves in a forgotten online game with ghost characters wandering around it, with which we will be arrange matches, and also communicate in the hub between levels, it's like an interactive "Mashinima" movie)
The core gameplay here is pretty weak, the arenas are microscopic and cramped, the opponents can sometimes just get stuck in place, the weapon designs are normal, but primitive, especially the shotgun, how could you) In fact, it all comes down to clicking bots without any special maneuvers and tactics, although the mechanics of movement is nice, itβs very dynamic, we can slide, we can jump from the walls, and, there is still an extra abilities, for example, to throw a little sand in the enemyβs snout,
And, the juice here - out of matches, in the middle of a fight, a hacker periodically breaks in, after the matches - we can return to the maps, find pages of ancient websites, keys, armor, and a few a little scary ghosts (can we have more of this, please?), and, in the last at the moment, chapter 3, the most interesting begins, which I will not spoil,
That is, purely on paper, the game can be described as levels with old school pvp arenas, mixed with levels for walktrough (story) in which you cannot die, like in pvp, but weapons are dropped upon death,
So far, the game is 2-4 hours long, you can continue from the moment of the demo, if you`ve already played, there is no intriguing ending, but I would still recommend purchasing, conceptually it`s already very suitable.
What needs to be fixed right now: Firstly, there are obvious problems with the visual) Game poster, character design at least.. They are very bad, they need to be redone, also, as I already wrote, bots sometimes get stuck in place, loading when moving from map to the map is a bit annoying, the dialogue is very mediocre, websites need translation into other languages, the shotgun.. the design of the shotgun must be furious! The "skip" button immediately skips the entire dialogue or cutscene, which you can't return to later.
